New Seat Cushion Foam Options

Some of my custom slipcover projects require me to provide new seat cushion foam options. Douglas Foam is located in New Jersey and is one of my main sources to obtain quality foam for new or replacement cushions.

I custom cut the foam and assist you in determining the best type of foam for the application. Details I consider are the height, density, compression, and frequency of use. Heights can range from 1” chair pads to 8” bed mattresses, and all items in between like sofa seats and outdoor cushions.

Any size and shape can be constructed. I have made cushions that were as wide as 130” and I have custom cut foam to fit inside trapezoid bench seats.

I have 20” x 20” covered samples of the four top sellers so you can sit on them to choose the one that provides maximum comfort and fits your furniture structure. Some sofas have springs and are therefore flexible while others are firm with no give. It’s an important consideration when picking the foam.

All new foam is covered with a 3/4” polyester batting and applied so that it will not shift over the life of the cushion, the batting gives the foam an extra dose of comfort and creates a “crown” effect that looks nice.
